Common Problem

  • 1.Is it necessary to install an external DC switch between the batteries and the inverter?

No, battery already has a DC isolator switch and we do not recommend that you add an external DC switch between the battery and the inverter. If installed, please ensure the external DC switch is turned on first, before turning on the battery and inverter, otherwise it may interfere with the pre-charge function of the battery and cause hardware damage to the battery and inverter.

  • 2.Does the high voltage battery support remote upgrades?

The high voltage battery supports remote firmware upgrades, but this is only available when paired with a Renac inverter, as the upgrade is done through the inverter’s datalogger.

  • 3.How to upgrade the battery locally?

If the customer is using a Renac inverter, the battery can be easily upgraded using a USB flash drive (up to 32G) via the USB port on the inverter. The upgrade procedure is described in the product user manual and installers can obtain the firmware by contacting the After Sales Team.

  • 4.How does the warehouse manage store batteries?

The battery module should be stored in a clean, dry and ventilated room with a temperature range between -10~+35, avoiding contact with corrosive substances and keeping away from fire and heat sources, and should be charged once every six months after long-term storage to ensure the SOC is between 30% -50%.

  • 5.Are Renac batteries compatible for work with other brands of inverters?

At present, the mainstream inverters in the market are able to support the matching, if necessary we can cooperate with the inverter manufacturer to do compatibility testing.

  • 6.What’s the error “Battery Volt Fault” for Turbo H1 battery?

    Please check the following points.

    1. Please check if the battery voltage and connections are normal.

    2. Please check if the inverter can detect the battery voltage.

    3. If the problem remains, try replacing the BMC.

  • 7.Can the N1 HV Hybrid Inverter be connected to any other series of batteries besides the H1?

Yes. The N1 HV hybrid inverter can be connected to H3, H4, H5 in exception of H1 , please refer to the datasheet for the inverter voltage range.

  • 8.How can I expand my existing PV system’s Turbo H3 battery capacity?

Please charge or discharge the original battery SOC to 30%, make sure the SOC and voltage of all batteries are the same and then connect the new battery to the parallel system according to the connection diagram.

  • 9.What is the maximum charging and discharging current of Turbo H4 battery?

Maximum continuous charging and discharging currents are 30 A.

  • 10.What is the turbo H4 battery advantage compare turbo H1 battery?

H4 battery is designed with modular, stacked installation method, no connection wiring harness between battery modules, making on-site installation more convenient..

  • 11.Does the RENAC Hybrid inverter require an external EPS box?

This inverter without an external EPS box, comes with an EPS interface and automatic switching function when needed to achieve module integration and simplify installation and operation.

  • 12.What are the maintenance precautions for Renac inverters?

    (1) Before maintenance, first disconnect the electrical connection between the inverter and the grid, and then disconnect the electrical connection on the DC side. It is necessary to wait for at least 5 minutes or more to allow the high-capacity capacitors and other components inside the inverter to be fully discharged before carrying out maintenance work.

    (2) In the process of maintenance operation, first of all, visually inspect the PV inverter for any damage or other dangerous situations and pay attention to anti-static in the specific operation process, it is best to wear an anti-static hand ring. Pay attention to the warning signs on the inverter and check the surface of the inverter after cooling. At the same time to avoid unnecessary contact between the physical and circuit boards.

    (3) After the maintenance is completed, make sure that any faults affecting the safety performance of the inverter have been removed before powering on the inverter.
