The Single Phase ESS, A Perfect Match for the Three Phase Grid System

Renac power, as a global leading manufacturer of on-grid inverters, energy storage systems and smart energy solutions, meets the individual needs of customers with diversified and enriched products. The single-phase hybrid inverters N1 HL series and N1 HV series, which are Renac  flagship products, are favored by customers as both of them can connect to the three-phase grid systems, greatly reducing electricity consumption in practical application scenarios, thereby continuously providing the greatest long-term benefits to customers.

The following are two application scenarios:

1. There is only three-phase grid on site

The single-phase energy storage inverter is connected to the three-phase power grid, and there is a three-phase single meter in system, which can monitor the energy of the three-phase load.

 2. Retrofit projects (an existing three-phase on-grid inverter and an extra energy storage inverter needed to transform into a three-phase energy storage system)

The single-phase energy storage inverter is connected to the three-phase grid system, which forms a three-phase energy storage system together with other three-phase on- grid inverters and two three-phase smart meters.

【Typical Case】

An 11kW + 7.16kWh energy storage project just completed at Rosenvaenget 10, 8362 Hoerning, Denmark, which is a typical retrofit project with one N1 HL series ESC5000-DS single-phase hybrid inverter and a battery pack PowerCase (7.16kWh lithium battery cabinet) developed by Renac power.

The single-phase hybrid inverter is connected to the three-phase grid system and combined with the existed R3-6K-DT three-phase on-grid inverter to form a three-phase energy storage system. The entire system is monitored by 2 smart meters, meters 1 and 2 can communicate with hybrid inverters to monitor the energy of the entire three-phase grid in real time.

In the system, the hybrid inverter is working on “Self Use” mode, the electricity generated by solar panels during the daytime is preferentially used by the home load. The excess solar energy is first charged to the battery, and then fed into the grid. When the solar panels do not generate the electricity at night, the battery first discharges electricity to the home load. When the energy stored in the battery is used up, the grid supplies power to the load.

The entire system is connected to Renac SEC, the second-generation intelligent monitoring system of Renac Power, which comprehensively monitors the data of the system in real time and has a variety of remote control functions.

The performances of the inverters in practical applications and Renac’s professional and reliable services have been highly recognized by customers.
