FAQs about Renac Power’s Outdoor C&I RENA1000-E

1. Will the fire start if there is any damage to the battery box during transportation?

The RENA 1000 series has already obtained UN38.3 certification, which meets the United Nations safety certificate for transportation of dangerous goods. Each battery box is equipped with a fire-fighting device to eliminate fire hazards in the event of a collision during transportation.

2. How do you ensure the safety of the battery during operation?

The RENA1000 Series safety upgrade features world-class cell technology with battery cluster level fire protection. Self-developed BMS battery management systems maximize property safety by managing the entire battery lifecycle.

3. When two inverters are connected in parallel, if there are problems in one inverter, will it affect another one?

When two inverters are connected in parallel, we need to set one machine as master and another one as slave; if the master fails, both machines will not run. To avoid affecting the normal work, we can set the normal machine as master and the faulty machine as slave immediately, so the normal machine can work first, and then the whole system can run normally after troubleshooting.

4. When it is connected in parallel , how is the EMS controlled?

Under AC Side Paralleling, designate one machine as the master and the remaining machines as slaves. The master machine controls the entire system and connects to the slave machines through TCP communication lines. The slaves can only view the settings and parameters, it can’t support modifying system parameters.

5. Is it possible to use the RENA1000 with a diesel generator when the power is outrage?

Although RENA1000 cannot be directly connected to the diesel generator, you can connect them using an STS (Static Transfer Switch). You can use the RENA1000 as the main power supply and the diesel generator as a backup power supply. The STS will switch to the diesel generator to supply power to the load if the main power supply is turned off, achieving this in less than 10 milliseconds.

6. How can I achieve a more economical solution if I have 80 kW PV panels, 30 kW PV panels are remaining after connecting a RENA1000 in grid-connected mode, which cannot ensure full charging of the batteries if we use two RENA1000 machines ?

With a maximum input power of 55 kW, the RENA1000 series contains a 50 kW PCS that enables access to a maximum 55 kW PV, so the remaining power panels are available for connecting a 25 kW Renac on-grid inverter.

7. If the machines are installed far away from our office, is it necessary to go to the site daily to check whether the machines are working properly or there is something abnormal?

No, because Renac Power has its own intelligent monitoring software, RENAC SEC, through which you can check the daily power generation and real-time data and support remote switching operation mode. When the machine fails, the alarm message will  appear in the APP, and if the customer can’t solve the problem, there will be a professional after-sales team at Renac Power to provide solutions.

8. How long is the construction period for the energy storage station? Is it necessary to shut down the power? And how long does it take?

It takes about a month to complete the on-grid procedures. The power will be shut down for a short time—at least 2 hours—during the installation of the grid-connected cabinet.
